All submissions should be double-spaced with one-inch margins and in Time New Roman, Garamond, or Calibri font. Use of fancy fonts will result in your manuscript being rejected without consideration.

Remember to include a cover page on your submission with your contact information, the title of the book, and the word count.

Simultaneous submissions are accepted, granted we are notified at the time of submission. If the status of your submission changes we ask that you notify us. Depending on the Call for Submissions, previously published works may or may not be accepted (we will do our best to specify). If you have ever shared this work on the internet via forums or writer’s websites, we request that you let us know.

Due to our small staff and volume we receive, please allow 4 to 6 weeks for us to review your submission.

Pagan Writers Press is currently seeking short stories and novellas (15k to 35k words) for a new fantasy series—Twisted Tales. These are stories that are based on myth, legend, and fable, but have been significantly changed in a unique manner of your choosing.

While these characters tell their own story, there should be references back to the original tale so that readers can identify your inspiration.

An example of what we are looking for is Stealing Polina by Danielle Villano, which sets the Hades/Persephone myth in the big city.

This call is open to everyone--including current PWP authors, unpublished writers, Indies, and multi-published traditional authors.

Please review our standard guidelines before submitting your work. Failure to follow them will result in the rejection of your work.

All genres and settings/eras/time periods welcome.

All manner of relationships (straight, GBLT, or polyamorous) are welcome. Submissions featuring pedophilia, bestiality, necrophilia, rape as titillation, etc. will be rejected.

Accepted books will be offered a full contract with Pagan Writers Press.

Submit your work for this anthology through this submission system.
